SSC CGL Educational Qualification Rules 2026

While generic positions (such as Income Tax Inspectors, Central Excise Inspectors, and CSS Assistant Section Officers) only require a standard bachelor's degree in any field, a few high-level auditing and statistical positions require specialized qualifications:

📊 Assistant Audit Officer / Assistant Accounts Officer (AAO)

Essential: Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized University.
Desirable: Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost & Management Accountant, Company Secretary (CS), Masters in Business Administration (MBA - Finance), or Masters in Commerce (M.Com).

📈 Junior Statistical Officer (JSO)

Bachelor's degree in any subject from a recognized university with at least 60% marks in Mathematics at the 12th standard level, OR a Bachelor's degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree graduation level.

🔬 Statistical Investigator Grade II

Bachelor's degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the compulsory subjects in all three years (all six semesters) of the graduation curriculum.
