SSC CGL Official DEST Evaluation Rules
The typing test is evaluated using an automated computer software program. To pass successfully, you must not exceed the permitted percentage of errors allowed based on your category:

Error Classification Matrix
🔴 Full Errors (100% Penalty)
- Omission: Missing out a word completely
- Substitution: Typing a different word instead of source
- Addition: Adding a word not present in the passage
🟡 Half Errors (50% Penalty)
- Spelling: Typing wrong spelling or singular/plural mismatches
- Capitalization: Putting lowercase instead of uppercase letters
- Spacing: Extra spaces between words or missing spaces
